Connecting the Hispanic Community in Newport
Conexión Latina Newport: Our strength lies in our community and knowledge, but more importantly in our actions to build our community. In 2019 we realized that working together we could overcome our challenges, support each other and build upon our strengths, and out of that grew Conexión Latina Newport.
Conexión Latina Newport (CLN) was established to support the needs of the Hispanic/Latino community by creating connections and partnerships with resources and advocacy, and creating pathways to increase access and representation throughout the city of Newport, Rhode Island.
We hope that by creating access, and building upon the strengths of the community, we will build the confidence, independence and integration of all Hispanics/Latinos in Newport.
Just Announced, Conexión Latina Newport has received $10,000 to support Housing Navigation Services for Hispanic residents through the Rhode Island Foundation's Newport County Fund. Established in 2002, the Newport County Fund has awarded $5.3 million in grants for programs and services for residents of Jamestown, Little Compton, Middletown, Newport, Portsmouth, and Tiverton.
